Thinking Of You
The moment I saw this two songs popped into my head.
The first song I heard playing to these words, “In the Valley of the Dying Sun” of course by House of Heroes in which the lyrics are: I’m thinking of I’m thinking of I’m thinking of I’m thinking of you.
Second, “Thinking of You” by The Maine in which the lyrics are: I’ve been thinking of you-ooooooo

Day 100 - 6th of May, 2012
Field of Daggers
This photograph was taken while Tim was tuning his guitar and getting ready for Field of Daggers. This song is my favorite by them and possibly by anyone. It’s so powerful. So beautiful. There are so many aspects. So many things going on. The drums. The strings. The harmonies. The bridge. The voices. The guitars. The bass. Granted this list describes so many songs. But the way it is composed-to me it’s just one of the best things ever written. That 5:27 song just has so much power. And the ending! The album ending is so beautiful!
Obviously this photo isn’t as active as the others I posted of this concert (1) (2) but I wanted an excuse to talk about Field of Daggers.

HOH
Diana and I went to a House of Heroes concert. Needless to say, it was fantastic. They played a lot of their new stuff, which was wonderful. I’m so excited for their new album. I can’t wait. I cannot wait.
This was the only relatively clear photograph of all four of them. And I love Colin’s face in this one!!

Day 49 - 16th of March, 2012
Ghost
Today my mom and I went to see Tim Skipper in his solo acoustic tour. It was wonderful and so much fun. I know I’m biased, so you’re not going to believe me, but it was truly fantastic. Everything about it was amazing. And the opening bands were incredible! I really want Outside the Camp to make an acoustic album now because they were outstanding. Honestly, I would buy it, their set was so beautiful.
Not to mention, it was great to hear Tim play Ghost and By Your Side, acoustic songs House of Heroes doesn’t always play when they go on tour. OH! And when Joel, Nathan, and Tim did Call My Name!! Gorgeous. All in all the night was outstanding. (Did I use enough adjectives to describe how awesome the night was??)
Here is my cover of House of Heroes’s “By Your Side”
Finally got up enough nerve to touch this song. Warning: it is no where near as wonderful as the original, but I tried! haha.
Here you can check out the original
I thought about playing the guitar for this one, because that sound really makes this song, but I’m really not that great at quickly switching bar chords so…
Hope you enjoy!

Calligraphy Hour: @houseofheroes today. It was a bizarre spring-like day, ergo, HOH was the perfect soundtrack. (Taken with instagram)
