Today at One28, one of the weekly college worship meetings at SMU, we talked about evolution and creationism and the scientific facts. I’ve always hated the debate between evolution and creationism so this teaching was wonderful to me. The most important things I gathered from it: Evolution is fact (micro-evolution is fact) and non-christian scientists believe in Intelligent Design because of the facts. There is a 0.(insert 304 zeros)1% chance that everything in the universe would match up in order to produce life. 322 things (such as our exact distance from the sun and the percent of Oxygen in our atmosphere and surprisingly the percentage of salt in the oceans) have to match up perfectly so that we can live.

I know my notes look stupid and juvenile, but they aren’t there to be statements, they are there to remind me of what I learned. Obviously there was a time limit, but what was explained was so rich with knowledge that it just had such an effect on me. I don’t mean to post this to start a debate or anything, this was one of the coolest things we’ve discussed and I wanted to share it.
